Dourthe has once again welcomed the Institute of Masters of Wine (IMW) to Bordeaux for its annual Second Year Residential Seminar

Dourthe major supporter of the Institute of Masters of Wine since 2001

A Bordeaux producer committed to producing high quality wines and ensuring their prominence on a global stage, Dourthe is greatly appreciative of all those who contribute to the awareness and distribution of Fine Wines among consumers. As such, Dourthe has been a major supporter of the Institute since 2001, whose members represent wine expertise in five continents across the world.  Dourthe welcomed students to the Second Year Seminar in the heart of the Bordeaux vineyards – a global reference for Quality Wines – in preparation for the highly coveted Master of Wine title.

An intensive week of study complemented by a gala dinner at Chateau Belgrave

For the 16th year, 53 IMW students and Masters of Wine, all wine professionals from 20 countries spanning Asia, North America, South America and Europe, were received in the welcoming surrounds of Bordeaux. An intensive week of study, including seminars led by well-known speakers, tastings, vineyard visits and mock exams, was complemented by a relaxing night of camaraderie at a gala dinner held at Dourthe’s very  own Chateau Belgrave.

We very much hope that this week of intensive study will support these wine professionals in their bid to pass the challenging Master of Wine exams, and that they will continue as ambassadors of our Bordeaux wines throughout the world.
