Vinexpo, the global Wine and Spirits Fair, was held 14-18 June in Bordeaux. Over the course of 5 days, Dourthe welcomed customers on its new Terrasse stand and also hosted two evening receptions for clients at Château La Garde, one of its estates in Pessac-Leognan.
Let’s take a look at some of the highlights…
Vinexpo 2015: Initial reports point to major success
A total of 2,350 exhibitors from 42 countries packed the halls at Vinexpo to showcase their latest releases and promote their image to international buyers from more than 150 countries. The high calibre of visitors acknowledged by exhibitors across the board, together with the event’s international dimension, which has grown in importance over the years, points to great success, and is highly encouraging for forthcoming editions.
A new stand for Dourthe
This year clients were welcomed on our new “Terrasse” stand in Hall 1. From Asia and the United States, Australia and Africa, many customers visited our stand to discover the latest additions to our portfolio. We would like to extend our thanks to these visitors in particular.
The Terrasse stand, one of the main innovations at this year’s Vinexpo, was a particular hit with customers, who appreciated the relaxed, convivial setting and were able to take full advantage of the sunny Vinexpo weather.
Two successful evening receptions at Chateau La Garde
Fine weather added the finishing touch to two successful evening receptions organised for customers at Chateau La Garde, one of Dourthe’s properties in Pessac-Leognan. Some 400 guests were welcomed in this magnificent setting at the very heart of the Chateau vineyards.
Pre-dinner drinks on the terrace to the sounds of a live jazz band, were followed by dinner accompanied by a rich array of Dourthe wines, notably the delicious 2001 vintage of Chateau la Garde in imperial bottle (6L).
The next Vinexpo Bordeaux is scheduled to take place in two years time, June 2017. In the meantime, customers will be able to see us at our stand in Prowein in Germany, March 2016, and in Hong Kong, May 2016.
