At one time, it was necessary to wait again several years to taste Bordeaux wines in good conditions. Dourthe created Beau Mayne in 1979, a round, nicely-balanced Bordeaux with the emphasis on lovely ripe fruit. Beau Mayne is the result of an increasingly strict selection process conducted by our oenologists who all have perfect knowledge of the Bordeaux terroirs. From several hundred batches, only the best are selected, those whose supple tannins and rich fruit render them worthy of a place in the Beau Mayne cuvée. The blend then made to strike the right balance between rich, complex fruit and particularly mellow tannins before the wine is matured in vats and then bottles to put the finishing touch to it.
