Chateau Rahoul White
Château Rahoul is one of only a handful of Graves wines to belong to the highly selective Union des Grands Crus de Bordeaux. On the palate, this Graves white wine offers complex flavours of white peaches, limeflower and citrus, freshness and depth. This is an ageworthy wine, and all the more elegant if enhanced by several years ageing.
Tasting notes
On the nose, intense and expressive, notes of white peach and citrus intermix with white flowers. The attack is lively. The palate ample and flavourful, is supported by the generous structure of the Sémillon. The acidity, fresh and well-integrated, guides the tasting towards a long, pure, and elegant finish. This vintage combines aromatic complexity, freshness, and harmony, and promises excellent ageing potential.
The vintage
Born of a mild, dry winter, the 2025 vintage set up early under favorable conditions. Budbreak occurred at the end of March, followed by rainfalls around Easter, which were beneficial to the vegetative cycle. From May onwards, a warm, dry period took hold. Early and uniform flowering unfolded under excellent conditions. From mid-June, a progressive water deficit stimulated polyphenol synthesis and enhanced the wine's structural potential. The hot summer allowed for even ripening, and the rains of late August and early September balanced the wines without dilution. The early and concentrated harvest yielded rich and balanced grapes. Overall, moderate yields contributed to a beautiful concentration. The 2025 vintage is distinguished by its intense fruit character, density, and remarkable balance, resulting in wines that are simultaneously concentrated, fresh, and elegant.
