Chateau Rahoul White
Château Rahoul is one of only a handful of Graves wines to belong to the highly selective Union des Grands Crus de Bordeaux. On the palate, this Graves white wine offers complex flavours of white peaches, limeflower and citrus, freshness and depth. This is an ageworthy wine, and all the more elegant if enhanced by several years ageing.
Tasting notes
Attractive pale straw in colour, tinged with green flashes. On the bouquet, white fruit aromas - predominately peach - intermingle with subtle, floral, lilac notes. Initially delicate on the palate, the wine rapidly blossoms in stature, offering lovely, concentrated mouthfeel, due to the semillon which dominates the blend. This exquisite Chateau Rahoul culminates in a lingering finish, underpinned by fresh, wellbalanced flavours.
Blending
- 87% Sémillon
- 13% Sauvignon blanc
Food pairing
Perfectly matches poultry (ginea fowl, roasted chicken), fishes (lobster, skate with cream and sauces), crustacean (oysters, crab), and cheese (unpasteurized and mature cheese).
